The news this morning is of the Chancellor (I like to say that to myself in a Scottish accent, it makes it sound especially whinging and stingy) and the Prime Minister locked in internecine combat over the decision to join the European Currency Regime, ie, replace the pound with the euro. Things are so internecine that I can't quite make out what is going on. The two of them probably can't either, come to think of it.
